05-Sept-2002:   The following items are changed/fixed for the 4.02a patch, which is released today.
  • What is fixed in this patch:

  • Problems with HTML messages containing certain types of style sheet, which would often cause v4.02 to crash, have been fixed.
  • Problems with HTML messages overprinting entire lines over the top of a single character have been corrected.
  • Lines pasted into a message using the "Paste unwrapped" option are now properly-preserved when sent using the built-in SMTP mailer, or when reloading the message from a draft. In previous versions of Pegasus Mail, the "unwrapped" attribute was lost in these cases.
  • A problem where dragging and dropping addresses into the BCC field of the message editor's "Special" view resulted in the *group box* getting the addresses instead of the edit control has been fixed.

17-Aug-2002:   The following items are changed/fixed for the 4.02a patch:
  • Has a new version of HTS32 that should no longer munch characters up on top of each other when a 4-digit unicode escape appears in the HTML source.
  • Should no longer show the 7 blank lines at the start of the message and in the signature editor.
  • A new commandline option, "-MS", allows you to start multiple instances of Pegasus Mail, even in NetWare modes. This does *NOT* mean that you can have two copies of Pegasus Mail accessing the same mailbox - merely that you can run two copies of Pegasus Mail as different users, something that has not been possible prior to now.
  • Has a fix for Hebrew right-to-left reading problems. A new -Z switch, -Z 262144, tells WinPMail to force TER to use left-to-right text flow no matter what it thinks it ought to be doing. This switch is currently untested.

03-Aug-2002:   All information up to the 4.02 version can be found here.
