It's been quite a while since I said anything publicly about Pegasus Mail
v4.0 - this simply indicates that I've been busy coding it... And believe me,
"busy" doesn't even begin to tell the story.

In retrospect, I guess I have to admit that I probably set myself too many
goals for v4.0 - it would probably have been better to have aimed a little
lower and got something out earlier... But despite the delays, I think the
work is good and that the improvements are very significant.

I've already (in December) posted a statement of the intended feature list,
and that has not changed substantially, so I won't reiterate it here.
Presumably what most of you want to hear is "when?"... Well, I'm still
trying to wipe the egg off my face for my last attempts at estimating a
deadline, so I'm inclined to be cautious, but my *aim* at the moment is to
release a public beta with about 75% of the new functionality in place
sometime in the next two or three weeks. That's not a promise, mind you,
but it's what I'm making a concerted effort to achieve.

Thank you all for your patience, and for the regular messages of support I
receive - I'm really sorry to keep you waiting, but (fingers crossed) I *do*
think you'll like the new version.

Cheers!
