The 32-bit version of Pegasus Mail for Windows v3.12c is now available
from our official distribution sites. The 16-bit version is currently
undergoing final testing and should be released next week.
You can download the new version using these URLs:
For the United States and Canada:
http://risc.ua.edu/pegasus/winpmail/w32-312c.exe
ftp://ftp.usm.maine.edu/pegasus/winpmail/w32-312c.exe
For Europe:
ftp://www.let.rug.nl/pegasus/winpmail/w32-312c.exe
For Asia and the South Pacific:
ftp://pegasus.topnz.ac.nz/pegasus/winpmail/w32-312c.exe
V3.12c is a bugfix release, but it fixes an awful lot of bugs. It will be the
last release in the v3.x family of Pegasus Mail for Windows products -
the next release will be v4.0, and it will involve considerable redesign (I
may post a message indicating the plans for this version sometime
next week).
Please see the "What's new in this version" section of the help file for a
list of the most important corrections in v3.12c.
If you are currently using WinPMail v3.12a or v3.12b and don't mind
doing a little file copying, you can save yourself some download time
by retrieving an updater module. The updater module is not a complete
release and can only be used to update v3.12a or v3.12b to the new
version. You can download the updater using these URLs:
For the United States and Canada:
http://risc.ua.edu/pegasus/winpmail/u32-312c.zip
ftp://ftp.usm.maine.edu/pegasus/winpmail/u32-312c.zip
For Europe:
ftp://www.let.rug.nl/pegasus/winpmail/u32-312c.zip
For Asia and the South Pacific:
ftp://pegasus.topnz.ac.nz/pegasus/winpmail/u32-312c.zip
You will need WinZIP or PKUNZIP to unpack the updater file; when you
have done so, please read README.TXT for instructions on installing
the update.
Cheers!
